action on disability

Life beyond barriers

Tom Kenny 1955 - 2020 was Action on Disability’s Welfare Benefits advisor and team leader from 2005 to his passing in 2020.

Tom supported countless numbers of local disabled people, ensuring they had access to the benefits they were entitled to.

It is estimated that during his time with AOD he generated up to £25 million for local disabled people. He was a force for good and his understanding of the Welfare Benefits system had an impact far and wide.

Tom, was my mother-in-law’s partner and a wonderful, big part of our family, and terribly missed.

This week, we were invited to the grand opening of Action on Disability’s new and accessible independent living center and visited the “Kenny Room” which is dedicated to the memory of our Tom.

It was a real pleasure to chat with many of the volunteers and his former colleagues who had fond memories of him and the positive impact he had on their lives, including the fabulous Patricia Quigley, Mayor of Hammersmith and Fulham.

In 2018, Tom and I enjoyed THIS “dull” Random Dialogue.

Drinking water at the correct time maximizes its effectiveness on the Human body:

2 glasses of water after waking up helps activate internal organs

1 glass of water 30 minutes before a meal - helps digestion

1 glass of water before taking a bath - helps lower blood pressure

1 glass of water before going to bed - avoids stroke or heart attack

By the way, Yvette spoke at Random Dialogues 23, March 2023 about "Sound Frequency Healing Through Tuning Forks & Tibetan Singing Bowls". I’m also fortunate that she lives a few steps away and recently shared that she can only type with one finger.

Covid Inquiry

Baroness Hallett wrote to Boris Johnson on February 3 with a list of 150 questions about the government’s handling of the pandemic.

They contain some crackers.

I wonder what the answer to this remarkable question was....?

"Please confirm whether in March 2020 (or around that period), you suggested to senior civil servants and advisors that you be injected with Covid-19 on television to demonstrate to the public that it did not pose a threat?"
