Five Ways to Spice Up Your Life in 2023
In preparation for the arrival of an “Instant Pot Pressure Cooker” I decided to organise our “pantry” which sounds quite grande doesn’t it?
In fact, it's a small cobwebby cupboard in our 1950s kitchen that encourages us to dump stuff and make a mess.
The herbs and spices on the second shelf are now in neat, alphabetised rows and the 2014 cumin has been composted.
My family hasn’t taken up my offer of a “tour” of the shelf.
I actually go to bed thinking about it, it's been cathartic, and so I've resolved to keep it organised.
Last night, I cooked a leg of lamb in the scary new pressure cooking pot with fresh rosemary and thyme and then steamed potatoes for a mash. We sat at the table and enjoyed it together.
