Would You Rather #5
Welcome to Issue 5. Thanks for being here and hello to this week's new subscribers. What are you up to this Good Friday? Please hit reply and let me know.
It was Isobel who got me thinking about this... a simple tweak of words can have such a massive shift for so many of us. Have a think about what you say you DO and have a play this week at reframing it and exploring it in different ways and angles to see it from other people's point of view.
I often use Thortspace for mulling over ideas and also collaborating. As an ambassador, I'd love to invite you to try it with me and share your creative nudges here too.
This week, alongside some children I had a go at creating with wordart.com. I made the image below. A kind of artisic word dump. It was quite therapeutic and isn't unfinished, much like the Art Of Random book Jason Arbiter and I announced we'd write on last week's Unradio Show
Meanwhile, over on Facebook, I posted - "Can you add to this poem - A BLANK MIND" Thanks to everyone who shared their ideas.
Unlike last week's Creative Nudge this one has a Thought For The Week. Phew. No three-sentence book reviews though. Next time.
Spring Playlist
I can see clearly now the rain is gone. I can see all obstacles in my way. Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind. It's gonna be a bright (bright) Bright (bright) sunshiny day. It's gonna be a bright (bright)Bright (bright) sunshiny day.
Alexander McCall Smith wrote this poem in March 2021 as the world looked forward with hope towards Spring and a time when friendships could be renewed after the long year of Covid-19 restrictions.

Radical Relaxation with Phil
"I found this and it's amazing. If you can get over any initial squeamishness it's incredibly educational about the human body and what happens when we drink alcohol. It was also quite a revelation to me to learn so much in such a short time about my whole system. Absolutely fascinatingly. Everyone needs to learn this stuff!" via Phil Shepherd

Investigations
Loneliness is something most of us experience at times. We can notice, name and nod to it, and usually it goes away with a phone call, smile at a stranger, or a coffee and catch up. This wasn’t an episode about loneliness, it was about my nan’s hair and the decline of the blue rinse.
