The Power Of Less

Random Dialogues 19th July, 6:08 am (ish)

"There’s a piece on slugs on the ITV news tonight," my husband WhatsApped me.

"OK, they are worse than ever! What time?" I replied.

"7:21 (Thursday 18/7)."

How To Grow Younger, Medicine of the Future Series Part 38 by Yvette Masure | Health is Wealth🌱

Sun / Decrease

As we leave the Summer Solstice behind and the days decrease in length, we yet again head towards the increase, of the full moon.

Sunday 21st July ‘Buck’ moon 🌝

The mid-point of 2024.

We are generally more interested in increase than decrease.  We want to increase our health and knowledge, collect more books, and add to places we have visited. Add more techniques to our practices… here is a new thought.

I suggest measure, if anything can be measured: for our progress in spiritual or internal practices, surely lies in how much we have decreased? How much we have decreased yes decreased rather than accumulated increased.

Taoist teachings emphasise the value of stillness and non-action.

Buddhists tell us to detach or ‘let go ‘.

The more we accomplish, perhaps the less we have to do.

Can the value of decrease be clearly experienced?

Decrease and decrease, until nothing is left to be done, nothing to be done, implies everything is done.

Food for thought and the future of medicine: less is more.🙏

🐤Guildford Swift Project

We have some exciting news. The morning of Thursday 18th July our chick in the camera box at 41 days old decided now was the time to fledge 👏🥳

Watching this little thing grow up and get stronger each day has been such a privilege. Fly like the wind little swift and safe journey to Africa. Hope you have a long, healthy, happy life 😊 Congratulations to our breeding pair, their 3rd year with us. They will rest up for a bit, feed, and build their strength before leaving for their incredible journey back to Africa. Will keep you posted. Sarah
