Building Together: The Power of Collaboration for Lasting Change by Pam Williams

As a coach and HR professional, I have seen the incredible things people can accomplish when they work together. I have often been struck by how often we miss the opportunity to collaborate and lift each other up. It’s easy to forget that we share so many of the same hopes, struggles, and dreams beneath it all. What if we each took a step toward building something larger than ourselves?

As Helen Keller once said: “Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much.”

Imagine what could change if we truly embraced this. In our workplaces, communities, and families, let’s find ways to work as one, because every great change begins when people come together for the common good.

Pam will be one of the 6 speakers at Random Dialogues 28 on Thursday 14th November.

How To Grow Younger, Medicine of the Future Series Part 47 by Yvette Masure | Health is Wealth 🌱

Laughter and Wellbeing

Be sure to find laughter amid the noise and chaos…

“A pleasant physical reaction and emotion consisting usually of rhythmical, audible contractions of the diaphragm and other parts of the respiratory system.”

YANG / Yin

Laughter is, in fact, an internal organ massage, something to be experienced every day—and it’s free. A day without laughter is a day wasted. Seek out like-minded people to share funny moments with, or watch something that makes your belly shake with joy.

Also, read Desiderata, the 1927 prose poem by Max Ehrmann.

> Desideratum: something that is needed or wanted.

The best way to live life is to believe, and to discover, that the best is yet to come. Let go of the past and embrace what lies ahead.

You Are What You Eat with Jenniann 🍴

When I agreed with Jane to write something, she said what I’m passionate about, I’m passionate about a lot of things, so struggled to decide what to choose, eventually I came to the food one as it has been so much part of my life.

I have always loved food and cooking. After studying nutrition at Teacher Training College and becoming more aware and embarking on a spiritual path I realised food is paramount in so many ways.

I wholly believe you are what you eat but that doesn’t discount that there are a whole load of other factors like genes, exercise, mental health etc. that are important for health.

Food is an emotive subject as it has been used over the centuries as a symbol of wealth, cultural rituals, and latterly corporate money making.

From all this I decided eating healthy as possible has a lot of benefits not only for the body but also for the environment. I chose not to eat meat any longer during my early 20s, it was for several reasons including thinking that eating a dead animal that suffered stress and pain, was full of antibiotics and other pharmaceuticals couldn't be good for me.

I also decided to eat as much of my food organic as possible as I can’t believe filling our bodies full of pharmaceutical pesticides and fertilisers is not only no good for our bodies but also no good for the environment as we are discovering only to well. (There is a 50% drop in butterflies this year and we are losing masses of our insects)

Ultra-processed food is full of ingredients not needed and often detrimental so I avoid as much as I can.

Scientists are now beginning to discover that gut health is important for overall health and mental health so eating a large variety of fruit and vegetables and fermented foods is essential for this.

Suddenly realising I could write loads more so am going to stop here. Hoping that I just sowed a few seeds in people’s minds about being mindful of what you eat. 🙏

And the birthday cake is vegan and healthier than coconut sugar! x

⚡Redefining Success with Debra Levitt

What Is Your Success Today?

I made that call.

I am taking steps to work through the current challenge.

I asked for help.

I acknowledged that things are stressful and gave myself time to breath.

I am being kind to myself.

Do you recognise your successes each day? It’s easy to have a goal that we’re striving for that we feel will make us successful when we achieve it. And that’s great. Nothing wrong with striving for goals but what about recognising your successes along the way?

Recognising your successes – no matter how big or small – helps you to find positives. This is especially important when life feels like it is full of negatives and you’re struggling to see how you can ever achieve your goal. Acknowledging each success allows you to see how each success takes you a little bit closer to the next one.

So, what have you been successful at today?

Don’t worry about what other people might say, what is your success today?

What was difficult that you did?

What have you been working on that you made progress on?

Success doesn’t have to be achieving the end goal, it is each step along the journey.

Debra was one of the fabulous 6 speakers at Random Dialogues 27. She is the founder of “Match Me To Podcasts” and works with clients providing coaching on how to be a great guest and finds guest opportunities for them.
